We've seen floral tools for "women who hammer", and yes they are nice, if not in my opinion a little patronising...I can use tools so a putting nice pink roses on them looks good, but doesn't make them less frightening as i was never frightened in the first place! Anyway less of my gripes..
So here is a wheelie bin that I pass every day on my walk to work. It's an area where all the houses have to have a big wheelie bin in its front garden, which makes the gardens look more like a dumping ground than a nice extra outside area for plants and happy things. This bin however actually adds to the Kerb Appeal of this house. The owner has covered it with rose patterned sticky back plastic, and it makes me think of how easy it is to make the mundane and unsightly attractive..and the possibilities this has for design.
I feel like decorating lampposts now.
